The Pride of United States of Asia: Lajong FC

Lajong FC from "Scotland of the East" (Shillong, Meghalaya) have qualified for the first division I-League 2009-2010 after they blanked Pune FC 2-0 in a fourth round match of the second division I-League at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Gurgaon. Lajong FC owner Larsing Ming Shwyan as well as coach Schangpliang were happy that their club has become the first team from the Northeast to qualify for the I-League first division. Keeping the spirit of United States of Asia(Northeast India), the Taneebrotherhood also salute the team and hope they will perform in the first division I-League. If Shillong can replace Bangalore as the rock capital of India, why not we replace Kolkota, Mumbai or Goa and make Northeast as a Football destination. It is sad to hear that Shillong could not organise these second division I-League due to poor ground condition. The Northeast India have contributed a lot to the Indian state in terms of Sports especially Football. The Indian skipper itself is from Sikkim in Northeast India. But how come a state like Haryana that doesn't play soccer have a better ground in Gurgaon to organise the match. Its the right time for the United States of Asia to wake up and have our own Football League and make this Rainbow Country a Soccer destination at par with the UEFA Champions League. All the champions of the states of United States of Asia (Northeast India) will compete for the Champions trophy through a Champions League.
Its possible !!!
I personally dream it to happen...
